Viniyoga is a more individualized approach to yoga and strives to meet students where they are at when they come to class. It is not about how to put your body into a pose, but rather how the pose works for YOUR body. Viniyoga also has a strong focus on repetitions, or coming in and out of a pose, which helps with strengthening and flexibility in order to hold the pose and train the body. Above all, viniyoga focuses on the breath, and linking all movement with the inhale and exhale. Kristen Nelson teaches the 50 Plus and Summer Evening Series. Please bring own yoga mat, towel, water, and a blanket for both classes! Kristen is a certified yoga instructor through the Yoga Alliance and trained at Whole Life Yoga in Seattle.
