Medical Equipment Lending Library

Need a walker, wheelchair, or other assistive devices?

Or, do you have some to donate?

Person on scooter

Sarah’s legs are weak so it’s unsafe for her to walk outside her home.  She called Island Senior Resources.  Our free medical equipment lending library had a scooter for her, but it needed a battery.  We called out to the community to donate a battery for the unit, recruited volunteers to build a ramp to her front door, and delivered the scooter.  Now Sarah is no longer isolated.  She is much more socially active and self-sufficient thanks to ISR and people who care.

1,134 items of medical equipment were borrowed free of charge during 2023, to meet the needs of those we serve.
