Sarah’s legs are weak so it’s unsafe for her to walk outside her home.  She called Island Senior Resources.  Our free medical equipment lending library had a scooter for her, but it needed a battery.  We called out to the community to donate a battery for the unit, recruited volunteers to build a ramp to her front door, and delivered the scooter.  Now Sarah is no longer isolated.  She is much more socially active and self-sufficient thanks to ISR and people who care.
