Trip – Festival of Lights in Leavenworth.

Join RWB as we head east for 2 great days of snow, fun and celebration. We’ll load up all the gear and head over Highway 2 towards Leavenworth. Along the way we’ll enjoy an easy to moderate snowshoe hike perfect for all abilities. Depending on the recent snowfall we will visit the greater Wenatchee State Park area. We’ll snowshoe for approximately 2 hours and enjoy a no host picnic lunch along the trail. Next, we’ll continue down the road to Leavenworth and the annual Festival of Lights. Once here we’ll check into our Hotel (Fairbridge Inn & Suites) after freshening up you’ll have plenty of time to enjoy a warm meal, perhaps a cold beverage, maybe do a little shopping and enjoy Christmas Music in front of the Gazebo. And then at 4:30pm sharp, the Lighting Ceremony starts with a little pomp as over a half million lights are turned on.  On Monday after breakfast we’ll have more to explore Leavenworth before leaving to drive back to Whidbey Island.

Please note: A complete supplies list will be available at registration.  Fee includes snowshoes, poles, guides, trail passes, lodging and transportation.
