Community Preparedness Education by the American Red Cross-House Fires and Earthquake

The South Whidbey fault line goes right through our community and could disrupt transportation and communications if triggered by an earthquake. The scary thing about disasters is that they can happen any time and are often unexpected-making it important to be prepared and informed. Being prepared for one emergency will help you be prepared for any that come along. Join us for a presentation on individual/family preparedness planning, kit building, and common disasters in our area. Safety and food storage tips will be included. Emergencies also include home fires.

• During a home fire, working smoke alarms and a fire escape plan can save lives.
