Allan Ament, writer, educator, and community activist, will talk about the Jewish holiday of Hanukkah. What does this festival celebrate? What special foods or traditions are connected to it? And what’s all this about getting gifts each of the holiday’s eight days? December is full of holidays, and this is a wonderful one!

Reading from a book in progress, Ordinary Extraordinary Grace, Lynne Burrows will offer stories of people making a difference, of moments of kindness and grace, openings through which hope can grow and shine. Lynne is a storyteller, teacher, and minister who now works for South Whidbey at Home.
