If you are someone who needs to actively enroll in Medicare, we invite you to join us. Changes to Medicare enrollment took effect this year and we can walk you through the process for your benefits to begin the first day of the month you turn 65.
Eligibility and Enrollment:
People who are turning 65 and who do not qualify for a Special Enrollment Period (SEP) can begin the enrollment process up to three months before the month they turn 65. Those who receive Social Security benefits at least 4 months before turning 65 will be automatically enrolled in Medicare. People who do not already receive benefits must actively enroll. Medicare enrollment is handled by the Social Security Administration.
