What is long-term in-home care?
Long-term care refers to services that help you with activities of daily living that you can no longer do on your own, such as mobility, transportation to medical appointments, shopping, dressing, cooking, and bathing. Services continue as long as you need assistance and remain eligible.
This is an independent living program. The primary goal is to help you live at home as safely and healthfully as possible. This program does not provide 24-hour or around-the-clock care.
Case managers develop a care plan with your input. We assess your needs, determine how much help is needed and what resources are available, and identify and apply for additional services you may qualify for, such as nursing services or home-delivered meals.

What does In-home care cost?
In-home care is a Medicaid program. You must apply through DSHS (WA State Department of Social and Health Services) to determine your eligibility for Medicaid-covered services. ISR will assist you with the application process.
Depending on your income, DSHS may require a co-pay. A DSHS specialist will explain any costs when you apply.
