Give Big & Support Island County Seniors
Neighbors Helping Neighbors
Every day, Island Senior Resources (ISR) works alongside older adults, their families, adults with disabilities, and caregivers to ensure that no one in our community has to face aging alone. During Give Big, we invite you to be part of this work, because when our community gives, lives are changed.
Donations through Give Big directly support the programs and services that help our neighbors stay healthy, connected, and independent. As government funding becomes more limited, community generosity is more important than ever to keep essential services available across Island County.

What are you Supporting?
Nourishment That Reaches Home
For many seniors, access to nutritious food can be a challenge. Donor support helps sustain Meals on Wheels and Community Meals, ensuring that older adults receive balanced, reliable nutrition. Meals on Wheels does more than deliver food, it provides a friendly check-in and peace of mind for both seniors and their loved ones. Community meals create welcoming spaces where people can share food, conversation, and connection.
Getting There When It Matters
Healthcare is only accessible if you can reach it. Donations support ISR’s Medical Transportation program, helping seniors and people with disabilities get to essential medical appointments, pharmacies, and treatments. Sometimes that trip includes a ferry ride and an all-day commitment—but thanks to community support, transportation is available when it’s needed most.
Information, Advocacy, and Support
Navigating aging-related systems can be overwhelming. ISR’s Aging and Disability Resources program, SHIBA Medicare Assistance, and COPES Case Management help individuals and families understand their options, access benefits, and make informed decisions. These services empower people to remain independent while receiving the support they deserve.
Movement, Learning, and Community
Staying active and engaged is vital to healthy aging. Donor support allows ISR to offer SAIL Fitness Classes, support groups, and educational opportunities that foster strength, balance, and confidence. Our Caregiver Support Groups provide space for caregivers to share, learn, and feel less alone in their journeys.
The Medical Equipment Lending Library also plays a crucial role—providing mobility aids and equipment that support recovery and independence without adding financial strain.
A Community That Cares
Each of these programs exists because people give. Donations don’t just fund services—they create stability, dignity, and connection for our neighbors. Whether it’s a warm meal, a ride to the doctor, a trusted conversation about Medicare, or a class that builds confidence and strength, your support makes it possible.
During Give Big, your gift fuels compassion in action. Together, we can ensure that Island Senior Resources continues to meet the needs of our community today—and grows to serve even more people tomorrow.
